Marianne Meye Thompson (PhD, Duke) is George Eldon Ladd Professor of New Testament at Fuller Theological Seminary. She is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). She was a translator of the Gospel of John for the New Living Translation, and she is the author of several books, including The Promise of the Father: Jesus and God in the New Testament and The God of the Gospel of John
