Meet Your Teacher

Dr. Madison N. Pierce (PhD, Durham University) is Associate Professor of New Testament at Western Theological Seminary.

 

Dr. Pierce published her Ph.D. thesis, Divine Discourse in the Epistle to the Hebrews (CUP, 2020), and she also has co-edited two collections of essays—Gospel Reading and Reception in Early Christian Literature (CUP, 2022) with Andrew J. Byers and Simon Gathercole as well as Muted Voices of the New Testament (T&T Clark, 2017) with Katherine M. Hockey and Francis Watson.

 

Dr. Pierce is the New Testament Editor for Reviews of Biblical and Early Christian Studies (https://rbecs.org/) as well as a co-host of The Two Cities podcast (http://www.thetwocities.com/). Her research areas include the book of Hebrews, the use of Scripture in Scripture, and the Catholic Epistles.
